This Victorian semi has been retrofitted to deomstrate the energy saving potential of simple, effective improvements.

Sarah and Charlie have reduced the carbon emissions of this house by 85% by installing insulation to walls, floors and roof, triple glazing and draught proofing the sash windows and fitting a heating system that combines solar thermal with a log burning biomass boiler. Sustainable materials have been a priority, including the most durable and eventually recyclable kitchen they could design.
